Blogmas 2014 - Day 8 What Is On Your Wish List This Year

Oh my goodness, I'm really pretty easy to buy for.  I have pretty much everything a girl could want.  I mean of course I have a few things but I'm not really counting on anything because I already got a huge gift of the new car.

I really love scarves, especially infinity scarves right now.  I'm beyond obsessed.

Fun gadgets, appliances, etc for my kitchen are always a win for me as well as cookbooks and decorations.  I'm so into all of it, and it's the best go to gift idea for me.

A nice pair of rain boots or wellies.  I just bought some for all of my kids for Christmas, and I've been dying for my own for years.

Vera Bradley!  I'm so in love with Vera Bradley.  I'd like a bigger purse, as well as a library tote bag.

And honestly I've not asked for any of even these things because what I want more than anything else in the world, is our own house.  I want to buy a house for my kids to grow up in and have sleep overs with good friends.  And I want to host a family holiday every year.  I want a swing set with a fort on it for the kids and a driveway for a basketball goal and to ride bikes in.  I want a kitchen I can move around in with other people in it, and to no longer live so piled on top of each other.  We are saving for it now with the hopes that come the time our lease is up, we are moved into our family home.

You have a beautiful dream! I could just picture it as I was reading your greatest wish. We waited 17 years for ours to come true. On the day it happened I still couldn't believe it was real! Many blessings to you and your family as you save for your dream home.
I love scarves too! And I've had one Vera Bradley before and just loved it too!!

I hope you get lots of the goodies on your list and especially your home dreams come true!! ;)

I love your list, I'm so much like you. LOL
I love Vera Bradley as well and I only have a few things from here.

Wishing you well on your savings

Potato Soup

During Lent this last spring, I needed a meat free dinner to feed my sister-in-law and her family. Usually my potato soup has lots of bacon and bacon grease in it. I found this recipe here .This one is meatless, but it is important to add that it is NOT dairy free. There are adjustments you can do to make it dairy free though. It’s quick and was really well liked.  Potato Soup 6-8 cups russet potatoes, peeled and chopped 1 yellow onion, diced 2 stalks celery, chopped 1 clove garlic 4 cups vegetable stock 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded 1/2 cup sour cream or cream 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper Pinch red pepper flakes 1 tbsp butter 1 tbsp olive oil In a large pot over medium heat, add the butter and olive oil. Once hot and melted together add the onions and celery. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Add the potatoes and minced garlic to the pot and continue to sauté all of the ingredients for about 5 minutes. Add vegetable stock and increase th
